October in Navarre
October is in full swing. We’re gathering events from around Navarre and nearby as they’re announced, so this guide will keep growing through the month. Here’s what we’ve found so far. Andy D’s on Navarre Beach remains closed after hurricane damage, so its usual shows are not listed.
On & Off the Beach
From beachside bars to local favorites around town, here’s where you can catch live music all month long
Downtown Pensacola & Pensacola Beach | October 1–11 | Times vary by venue
Hear original songs and the stories behind them at performances across downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. Most shows are free; selected venues and performances require tickets.

Introduce a young angler to fishing at the pier. Registration is $10; the first 200 registered children receive a fishing pole and bag.

Juana’s 13th annual Oktoberfest offers tastings of national and local beers, with a souvenir glass while supplies last.

The rodeo returns for two days of fishing. Spectator weigh-ins are listed for Saturday, 1–4 PM, and Sunday, 1–5 PM, with awards on Sunday. Angler packet pickup and the meeting are Friday, October 2, 4–7 PM. Registration is handled through Fishing Chaos.

Walk the wooded charity haunted trail for a night of local scares. Bring a nonperishable food item or make a monetary donation to support Feeding the Gulf Coast. Minors must attend with an adult.

Bring your best witch costume to Juana’s 15th annual Witches Brew, with prizes for the best-dressed witch. Admission is $25 at the door.

Look for shorebirds and fall migrants with the Choctawhatchee Audubon Society. Nonmembers are welcome. Bring binoculars, water, and sun and bug protection; an optional second stop at Big Sabine Point may include dunes and wet ground.

Bring your VA claims and benefits questions to the Boatwright Foundation for free help over coffee. Veterans and their families can talk through questions and next steps.

Paint a pop-art portrait of your pet in a guided class with The Sandy Palette. No painting experience is needed. The $45 fee includes supplies; register ahead and submit a clear pet photo before class.

Spend the afternoon with games, crafts and food at this free family fall festival.

Run or walk in costume at NYSA’s Monster Dash, with 5K and 1K options and a best-costume contest. Proceeds support youth sports in Navarre, and race-day registration opens with check-in at 4 PM.

NYSA fills the soccer complex with decorated trunks and candy. Up to 75 vehicles can participate, with prizes for the best costume and decorated car or trunk. Admission is free.

Act4Mystery brings a comedy murder mystery and three-course dinner to The Vine. Dinner and the show are $52, and reservations are required.

Join a gentle beach yoga class with crystal singing bowls at the beginning and end. There is no charge; donations are optional. Bring a sheet or blanket, water and a layer. Adults register online, and anyone under 18 must attend with a guardian.

The second annual festival brings songwriter performances to the harbor, including free shows and ticketed Main Stage and VIP experiences. The announced lineup includes Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Bridgette Tatum and Jeffrey Steele. Use the official schedule for individual set times.

Chili pots and beach volleyball share the day at Juana’s rescheduled charity cook-off and tournament. Enter your chili or watch the volleyball, with proceeds supporting Caring & Sharing of South Santa Rosa County.

The YMCA gym gets a Halloween makeover with candy tables, music and bounce houses. Costumes are encouraged; the organizer has not listed an admission fee.

Take the costumes out for a midweek candy run with decorated trunks, candy, and free hot dogs and chips.

Wear your witch attire for a late night of margaritas, food and music by DJ Snow2 Coldd. Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door and are sold at Emerald Waterfront.

Kids mix and decorate glow-in-the-dark slime and take it home, with supplies included. For ages 4 and up. Registration is required.

A free walk-through haunt in its fourth year, put on by local first responders, teachers and retired military. Expect seven scare rooms, more than 20 live characters and life-sized animatronics. Donations are welcome. Children 12 and under must attend with an adult.

The Vine pairs a costume contest with cash prizes and live music from Nick Andrews. Winners are announced at 8 PM.

LOCASH performs at 7:30 PM. Friday admission is $14 for ages 12 and up, $6 for ages 4 to 11, and free for ages 3 and under. Parking is $10 and rides cost extra. From 8 PM, a $35 Midnight Madness offer includes entry and unlimited rides until 1 AM. Other days have separate pricing.
