Calling All Taco Lovers: Discovering the Best Tacos in Navarre FL

Join Me on an Exciting Journey to Uncover Navarre's Ultimate Taco Destinations

Hey there, fellow foodies. As a self-proclaimed taco enthusiast, I am on the hunt for Navarre’s top taco spots.

Tacos are the one thing my whole family can agree on. We are seriously crushing on all things taco. But where in Navarre can we find the most mouthwatering, freshest, most flavorful tacos to sink our teeth into?

A Matter of Personal Taste

An Objective Measure

I’m not here to rain on anyone’s business. What makes my taco heart sing might not be your taco tune. For instance, I love a taco bursting with robust seasoning, but you might call that too salty. I can’t take a lot of spice, yet you might thrive on the fiery heat. So, I devised a system to evaluate tacos based on 5 distinct qualities. This way, you’re in the driver’s seat, deciding which end of the scale resonates with your tastebuds.

Defining the Perfect Taco

Our 5 Point Taco Evaluation System

  1. Flavor: A scale from (1) underseasoned, to (3) perfectly balanced, to(5) overseasoned. (#5 being right my alley!)
  2. Spiciness: (1) mild, (3) hot, (5) fiery
  3. Freshness of Ingredients: Freshness and overall quality of the toppings
  4. Texture: How well the taco balances different textures, from tender meat, soft or crisp tortillas, and the toppings
  5. Presentation: We’ll consider the visual appeal and presentation of the tacos; after all, we feast with our eyes first!

Hector’s Mexican Grill
Address: 2541 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563

A smidge outside the borders of our charming, most relaxing little corner of the world, but I’m calling it close enough to be in the mix.

Hector's Mexican Grill

I got the Loaded Chicken Tacos. The seasoning? It’s a 2 on the seasoning scale for me. Only lightly seasoned, but the chicken was grilled to smokey perfection. The spiciness? Mild as a gentle sea breeze, but hot sauce was offered for those who like it hot. They use real tortillas, the kind that taste like corn, freshly grilled, soft in the middle with just a hint of crispness around the edges, and very flavorful. And the freshness? Yup! I got fresh lettuce, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and luscious avocado -a personal favorite taco companion of mine. Of, and did I mention? The folks at Hector’s were as warm and inviting as their tacos were delicious!
